Exploring Acadia National Park and the Downeast Region

Beech Cliff Trail, Acadia National Park

This loop trail is a short hike from the Beech Mountain trailhead at the top of Beech Mountain.  The hike is short but fairly steep up boulders and stone ledges.  It’s more exhilarating than strenuous.  Side trails include Canada Cliffs and the Echo Lake trail.

Clifftop offers spectacular views of Echo Lake, Somes Sound, the sea, Greening Island and Cranberry Isles.

Six hundred feet top elevation.  Rated moderate.  8/10 of a mile.  Hike New England offers these instructions.
